California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday pointed out one glaring inconsistency in President Donald Trump’s strenuous denial of a Wall Street Journal report that alleged he once sent a lewd birthday note to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, his onetime close friend.

Trump has railed against the Journal’s reporting, claiming he had nothing to do with the reported 2003 letter (which featured a drawing of a naked woman) and insisting it was “a fake thing.”

I never wrote a picture in my life,” Trump declared.

Newsom responded by sharing a screenshot of a 2019 Washington Post article about a sketch that Trump had once made of the Manhattan skyline — complete with his signature — that was up for auction.

Flipping Trump’s own words back on him, Newsom captioned the post: “I never wrote a picture in my life.”

In fact, the skyline picture is just one of several that Trump has drawn over the years, mainly to raise money for charity.
